Thanks Chris, let me know if you’re able to come up with something. I’m assuming something in the default slideshow settings is different than the presets, but don’t know where to start looking or testing for it. I guessing the default settings are buried in a PHP file as I didn’t see an XML file for them.

Yes, I was able to replicate that problem. Have not had time recently to dig into the code for a solution.

Your solution works great on the default preset for monoslideshow, but when I select one of the presets (like newsflash) or a custom one, then the links no longer work. Only when I have the default preset set to
‘none” does it work. Is there some code I need to add/adjust to the XML file?

No, if there is a problem with the preset xml file, then you will get a error message and your photos will not display. There is nothing in the preset file that needs to be changed using our method ( I briefly glanced at the Kim Woodbridge article that you mentioned – it seems that Kim offers a different way of achieving the clickable link)

At this point, the only realistic way to debug this is to review your actual code.

Hey admin,

with your step-by-step description I must changed the: “Field type” from “Area” in “Input” with the NGG Custom Fields plugin.

But it doesn´t work already.
Maybe it´s on the newsflash.xml-file in …/nextgen-monoslideshow/presets

Did you replace the [wordpress dir]/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-monoslideshow/xml.php file with the code on our site?

I just retested our method with the latest release of the NGG plugin. It all still works correctly.

But “ImageLinksTo” as Field Name doesn´t work.

Hey Admin,

thanks for help.

I was adding a new Custum-Field with the url as the name.
And linked it in one of the galeries. But that´s not enough.

Did I have to displaying the nextgen-custom-fields with an php-tag to link the Monoslideshow?
